When you work for a staffing company, you work for the staffing company even though you’re at another company for your shifts. So it’s a good idea to know how day off requests work.  If you want to take a day off, remember that both organizations, the staffing company and the one you work at, need some notice.

Here are the steps in taking a day off.

Step #1: Touch base with Stride Staffing

Touch base with Stride Staffing and let them know the day you plan to take off. Be very clear about the day you want off. Give the month, date, and day of week, whether it’s Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.

Step #2: Confirm the time off with Stride Staffing

As it gets closer to the time, be sure to confirm your day off with Stride Staffing. Remind them a week before, and refer to the e-mail or phone message you sent a month before. Make sure they are not inconvenienced by the day. Make sure they know you will not be in that day.

Step #3: Confirm the time off with your assignment

It’s also a good idea to confirm the day off with your assignment. Speak to your supervisor at the assignment site. If you know the e-mail, it’s also a good idea to confirm it with e-mail. Make sure they know you will not be in.
